I heard something about the bones weakening, but I'm not sure.

Yep, you heard right. Bone density decreases. Obviously gravity is more beneficial than just keeping us stuck here on earth.

Zero gravity can cause a person to have a bad mood and it weakens them, that's why astronauts need to exercise on board the space shuttle. Zero gravity causes the human's sense of taste to decline, hence the food that an astronaut eat will be added with more flavoring. Also, humans cannot be out in space for a long period of time as they will start to have problems with their health. And for your information, humans "grow" taller by about 3 to 4 cm in zero gravity conditions as the spine will start to loosen in the absence of gravity.
