Jason Marquis, Jeff Weaver, or Jeff Suppan

Suppan is the best of the group but he wants way too much money (10million a year/4 years). There's several pitchers of equal ability you can get for 6 or 7 million a year. Weaver shouldn't be kept. When he's on he's good, but he's too inconsistent and at this point in his career, if he hasn't reached the expectations placed upon him when he first came up he's never going to reach them. Fans might be sentimental towards Soup and Weaver because of their postseason performances, but those few games alone don't justify making a bad long-term decision.

As much as I cringe saying this (based on numerous 2006 nightmares he cause me to have), I would keep Marquis. He has great stuff, and could potentially be a very good number 2 starter. Hopefully last seasons' implosion was just a fluke and he'll get his act together next season. He's an all around great athlete, and has the potential to be a 16 to 18 game winner. I hang on to him and hope that he can get his act together, even if that means shipping him down to Memphis (Cards AAA affiliate for all the non-Cards fans reading this) for a few months.

jeff suppan is the best pitcher out of the three but he wants too much money so the cardinals will most likely let him go it would be wise for jeff weaver to stay in st.louis but who knows what he's gonna do jason marquis is the youngest of the three pitchers and has the most potential of the three pitchers which is why i say they should keep him but it depends on waht the cardinals want to do they could end up losing all three pitchers which would make pitching a top priority for the cardinals this off season

Suppan,Weaver is the ones they will probably keep.I personally like Marquis he is just in a feeling out stage hes gonna win a lot of ballgames for some team, its a shame it won't be the Cards.Just like Morris he goes to the Giants and the next year we win it all.
