depending on which car company you are going with... the top quality rent-a-car compnaies (Avis, Hertz etc) are 21 at the youngest, but some are 25 (depending how long you have had your license, and where you are planning to drive). You can go with the cheap-o no-name brand of rent-a-cars (just find some when you get there), they can be from 18 up. The safest bet is to book it with your travel agent.

25. I had this happen to me...Hubby and I were 24 with a kid and a 60,000 a yr income and couldn't rent a car from most major companies. We finally got one from some crappy place.

Usually for any car rental car company you have to be 25 or the company you work for has to pay extra for insurance.
