I "avoid" Wal-Mart because I don't like their business practices. I don't boycott it completely, simply because I can't (where I live). But I did use to live in a larger city, and I never stepped foot in it there.

i dont boycott any businesses based on principle, but i do based on my expeirence there,, such as poor service etc,,,,,,im sure there are some good reasons to boycott things, i just dont stay informed, plus i feel that while i could for the ones i know, there are probably so many other companies etc doing things i dont know about,,,, i think we most likely could find something to boycott in everything , or atleast most things(somewhere along the line, from developer to it being on the shelf ,something most likely is wrong or the people are supporting "wrong" in my view causes),,, and since i am not willing to analyze every purchase i make,,, i choose to not bother with it

I boycott Blockbuster video. They said that I never returned a video that I rented and they said they had the whole transaction on a surveillance camera. I never even rented the movie in question, so I went to review the tape, and of course I was never on it. So I made them type an apology and a letter stating that I was innocent on their own letterhead. I haven't been back since.

Starbucks....the troops asked them to send coffee and they refused saying they didn't support the war. While I don't think the war is exactly the greatest thing, they are Americans over there and we should do what we can for them...especially if it is so small a thing as sending coffee.

No, I think it's stupid to boycott things you actually need to make your life easier just to "prove a point".

I don't usually, but if the OJ Simpson special would have aired I would have boycotted it. I think that if a man is aquitted of killing someone and then profits off of telling others how he would have done it if he really did it is so disgusting that it deserves my condemnation.

Exxon- They have spent more money defending themselves from oil spill damage (Exxon Valdez) than it would take to replant the kelp beds in Alaska.
