Drag your files to the recycling bin then empty it by right clicking it and click on empty recycle bin. That will delete file that you don't want.

If you are using some form of Microsoft Operating system, open Explorer, Highlight what you want to erase and hit the delete key. Click on the file and then right click and choose delete. Highlight the file name go to edit and choose delete... any number of ways to delete. Are you having a problem? In what way?

If you mean erasing as in deleting it and emptying it from the bin, select the file, and choose Delete, or press the delete key from your keyboard.
However, if you mean erasing as in overwriting the file several times, try Eraser, which is a real good program. It is available for download @ www.heidi.ie/eraser/

you can drag it to the trash and remove it. You can delete it from the program files, You can delete specific documents from files by right clicking. If you want to make sure it was completely deleted run a search after it. IF you want everything cleared you can go to the system and do a Delete Tree but that erases EVERYTHING and you should not do it unless you want everything gone and you know how to reinstall the operating system etc. and you have the disks etc.

The only real way to be sure the file is unrecoverable is to overwrite it with zeroes, ones, or random data with a program like Evidence Eliminator. I'd do it about 35 times. Then the only people who would be able to recover it would probably be the NSA
