for the last two days when i turn on my computer it says keyboard failure then my mouse pointer freezes on the page when im supposed to click on my name for my startup menu to come up has this happened to anyone before and what was the cause and how can i fix it ive went into safe mode and did a system restore didnt help any suggestion thanks

Start with the failure problem, borrow another keyboard and mouse, if that isn't it, have you run your virus and anti-spy scans? Do you have your original disc to reboot?

Sounds like the connectors are switched. Make sure your keyboard and mouse are plugged in the proper PS2 ports. If they're both USB they may be conflicting. Unplug the mouse and see if the keyboard works.

I have this same problem before but i have solved this problem by delecting my user accounts in Contro Panel ------> User Accounts , after i have delect my user account , my mouse pointer won't freezes on the starup menu , hope this help you ! good luck

either your keyboard is broke or it sounds like to me that sumbody hacked into ur computer and gave it a virus. do a virus scan and clean it out

Maybe a cleanup is in order of your pc and a virus scan

try another mouse seems like a connection error
try disconnection and reconnecting first
