Can you take the hard drive out of the original Xbox and put it in an Xbox 360?

I have the original and am thinking about getting a 360 but dont know whether i should spend the extra 100 fot the hard drive/wireless controller or if i can just buy the controller seperately and take the hard drive out of my xbox

no u cant cause the xbox 360 has its own hard drive that u have to buy thats why ps3 has built in 20 or 60 gig hard drive

dont forget the extra 100 is paying for the graphics also
