BIOS is basically the memory stored in a little battery inside your computer. It maintains some VERY important and delicate settings that tell the computer about your hard drive, CPU, memory, boot options, etc. You can get into it by looking for something when you first turn the computer on that may say " Setup" or something similar. There are hundreds of different BIOS versions and some don't allow changes to caching and shadowing for the safety of the user. There are SO many things in BIOS that, if changed, can stop your computer from booting at all. BE VERY CAREFUL!
If this is your personal computer, you should contact the manufacturer for help or seek the help of a local computer repair shop. "System Administrator" and "Technical Support Group" are just generic terms.
