It began as the time the Pilgrims and Indians shared food at the first Thanksgiving. Since then, it is a time for family and friends to gather together to celebrate the things they have to be thankful for and share the time together. It is a celebration with no religious connotations and should be embraced by everyone. We ALL have much to be thankful for.

RE:
Why do people celebrate thanksgiving?
The only thing most kids know is it has something to do with a turkey. LOL

I go out with my family to my aunt's house every year. I make hors'devours and help set up dinner. Then we eat, get tired, eat again, get tired, eat dessert and all sit and watch TV. Basically we all hang out with each other and talk about recent issues.

it is a tradition, i would think is the main thing,,, and its a great time for families to get together,,especially now days, when we dont do the large family get-togethers often , we dont even always have a meal with the family that lives in our house! have to be reminded to sit at the "family table"
