my daughter has stuborn diaper rash that was confirmed by her doctor. I have used johnson and johnson 3-in-1 diaper rash cream along with airing it out and cornstarch once a week, but this cream is horrible. She is 7 months..whats the best diaper rash cream out there?

Balmex - it seems the thicker and whiter the cream the more it works. (By the way, in reference to an above answer....I don't recommend putting raw egg near a baby....I'm no medical professional but raw egg near a...shall we say...bodily orifice doesn't seem a wise choice).

Good luck!!!

The thing that the diaper rash needs most is air. If the house is warm, let your daughter go without a diaper as much as possible. The less times she spends in a diaper, the less time it will take for the rash to get better.

The second thing would be to use paper towels and warm water to clean her instead of regular diaper wipes.

As far as creams/medications go, the best thing to use is an anti-yeast cream. You don't need a prescription or anything for them so you can just pick some up at the local pharmacy/grocery store.

I attempt to use diaper rash cream/ointment each and every time i substitute my toddler's diaper. whether, I even have used Vaseline a pair of times just to be sure if it makes any difference and that i got here across that Vaseline is in basic terms as solid as diaper rash cream or ointment and the better area approximately it somewhat is that it is likewise lots greater fee-effective than diaper rash cream! How approximately that for some solid information? so a good distance as toddler powder is worried, I even have study in a toddler magazine at present that newborns and toddlers can particularly inhale that stuff and probably choke on it. not solid! i assume it particularly relies upon on how lots powder you particularly use. it somewhat is a shame too because of the fact i offered particularly some bottles of toddler powder formerly my toddler substitute into born.

instead of using wipes on her bottom use Johnson and Johnson head to toe body wash and water rinse well. or if you want to use the wipes just wash them out under luke warm water. let her go without a diaper through out the day, try not to use any powders or fragrance. I like to use Balmex or buttpaste is also good. Don't put any medication on her unless it is prescribed by a doctor, That includes any over the counter medication. If the rash is persistent and they think it is yeast or bacteria they will prescribe you something other wise just keep her bottom clean and dry as best as you can

good luck

Destin is the best diaper rash cream i think. Try using bag balm as well. That always clears up my daughters rash. Check with her doctor and make sure her stubborn rash isn't a yeast infection.

Aveeno makes a nice diaper cream, and Penaten cream is super thick, makes a great barrier. Is good for diaper rash, heat rash etc...

I'm not sure if you have it over there but it's called Pinetarsal.

It's BRILLIANT stuff. You put it in bubs bath or can buy the wash cream. Clears it up really fast! Takes any sting and redness away. I use it every few bathtimes even when they don't have nappy rash.

I only use Johnson&Johnson Pure Cornstarch with aloe & vitamin E.

many people will laugh at one aout to write but i know it works

take some egg white and mix it with a little flour and spread this over the affected area and blow softly until it dries and then jsut do this on each nappy change if possible.

my mum told me this a long time a go and i laughed at her but then she told me that her midwife laughed too but when my brother was 5 the midwife phoned and said caroline ive got a baby on my books that has severe nappy rash what was that egg thing you told for nappy rash, my mum told her and 3 days later the midwife called round my mums with a bunch of flowers to say thank you.

mum put a little bit of egg white on my had and blew on it and it sealed like a film which is what protects the baby as the urine cant get in the sores to sting and irritate it,giving it time to heal where as many of the creams on the market just wash off as soon as the baby wees.

i now have a 7 month old daughter and now she is teething her wee has got really strong and she has nappy rash, ive tried sudo cream and all the other creams in the shop and then used my mums tried and tested way and now i have a happy little girl again with no nappy rash.

even if i get lots of thumbs down and laughs at this answer please try it before you knock it

good luck huni

Go to your pharmacist and ask them about pinxav. Its pronounced Pink Salve. I used it on my daughter as a baby, and it helped with the first treatment. I still keep it around, even tho she is seven, its great stuff for various little rashes. Good luck!

Pure cornstarch is all you need. Let your daughter run around without a diaper for a little while each day.
