Is it just laying a baby down on her tummy..nothing else?

Basically, yes. It's just putting the baby on their bellies to help their stomach and neck muscles to develop and get stronger.

It is laying a baby on its tummy but you should not leave your baby alone during this time. Interact with your baby. The main reason for tummy time is to work on head control/muscle control. This helps your baby get ready for crawling. You can place toys in front of him/her to encourage reaching. You can lay on your tummy facing the baby and chat with baby. Tummy time can also be on your chest, on your lap, etc. It should be a fun time, not a scream fest. If baby hates it then only doit for a few minutes at a time. good Luck and have fun.

its ur baby laying on her tummy, geting used to being on her hands and knees and preparing her to first, scoot, then crawl

That is exaclty it...get them off their backs and pressing on the backs of their heads.
