There is a guittar that I want for only $70 and it is reguarly $100. Well, I told my dad that I will pay $20 for it if he pays the rest cuz it is on sale for only tomm. (black friday). But, he said I dont know. Well, I asked my mom and she said No because I talk back to my rents all the time. But, I also watch my lil sister all the time too. I dont know what I should do? any suggestions?

Well i was in a band for 6 years, and I wanted to play the drums so so bad, but my mom thought that they would be to loud in the house.. so I went with the guitar... it really is a beautiful instrument and it paid my way through college, let them know this.. tell them that an instrument expands your creative mind, and if you stick with it, and really enjoy it you could serenade them at holiday times ( make a joke about it and try to get them laughing... that worked for me sometimes ) ... your parents are probably saying No because they think that you will want it at first, and wont stick with it.. you have to prove to them that you will actually learn to play it.. when i got older my mom told me that she never though I would stick with music thats why she was so hesitent to buy me a guitar in the first place... so maybe your parents have the same views mine did... dont all parents think alike :)?

Well, the thing is...if you had bought the guitar, how long would you play it? Would it end up sitting in the closet collecting dust? If you really want one that bad, see if there are some chores you could do for your parents to earn you the money and buy one that is "the best" because if you get a cheap guitar it wont sound as good as maybe a "fender"

So what if you are a girl??!?!
I started to play drums in the 5th grade and I am a girl!!!
Follow your dreams.
Ask your parents for an exchange.
So many hours sitting your sister in exchange for the guitar/drums. I would also offer up other chores.
Washing dishes etc...
I know it is hard not to talk back to your rents but put yourself in their shoes.

Get a job, respect your parent.

Both of these may help you get the drums or the guitar.

maybe try helping around the house more and ask them again later. but dont keep asking for it. or you could try and mak some $$ and say that you will pay more of it, or you will eventually pay them back

tell them that you really really want it and that you know you talk back but you have your good points too. and promise to do something, that always gets my mom. if they say no just save for it on your own. its always so much better when you pay for it by yourself.

Never ask for anything this close to Christmas - you never know what they have already bought for you ;-)

my advice is: you should only play guitar if you are completley dedicated so if your dedicated the go ahead
