Let me tell you, I do not want to feel like I haven't earned anything that I have in live, maybe because I do not feel that way. I have to work as hard, if not harder, than the next guy, especially because I am not a man.
However, I am one of two white women in an office with six black women. They make me feel like I should kiss their a@@es or something. I heard one woman say "all the devil's children look the same to me". If I try to join a conversation, they look at me like I have 3 heads.
And if I hear "Giiiirrrrrl!!!! You Craaaazzyyyy!!!" one more time, my freaking head is going to explode. I want to know why black women do not like white women, even if they are working in the same flipping place together making the same flipping money?
By the way, I grew up and live in an area with a large black population, have had black roommates and black friends, I listen to rap music and the whole deal. But to see me at work, I might as well do the polka and eat mayonaise sandwiches. One of the VPs, a black woman whom I do respect, has yet to call me by my correct name. Do all white people look the same? Is that what she is telling me? So, am I getting something I deserve by being born with white skin? Now I know what it feels like to be left out because of my "culture"?
They talk about being black all day long. They talk about black men, about black families, black children, food black people eat, clothes black people wear, about being black, who is the blackest or who is the lightest skinned. My whole life I have been white and I have NEVER engaged in a conversation with other white people about things that white people do.
I'm sick of the room going silent when I have to walk to the fax machine. So, to answer your question, YES, non-white women do project hate, it is WHY that I don't know. I am a Jewish woman, and that is NOT easy. People who are prejudiced...well, here's a news flash...they hate JEWS as much as they hate BLACKS, so GET OVER IT, SISTERS!!

I feel lucky to have been born white. It is much harder to be a minority here. I deal with sexism, not as much now because I am the boss, but when I was coming up in the business world it was tough. I was actually told by a former (male) boss at a place I used to work that if I were a man he'd promote me. He doesn't believe that women should work for the company. That company, by the way, was Rent A Center. They pay well - but it is very male dominated. Black women and Latinas have a much harder time, I think. People tend to judge them in a way that they don't judge white women. As a woman I have one strike against me, as a minority they automatically have two. It's really tough. In a male dominated place I have to be 10 times better then my male counterparts to get noticed and sometimes that wouldn't even work. Minority women have to work twice as hard no matter where they are.
Then there is the whole problem of trying to work and raise a family. That is tough to juggle. Something always has to win because time is limited. In my case, my job usually wins which makes me a horrible mother. But this is true no matter what color your skin is!
This is a good question. But PLEASE don't judge America's Next Top Model as the way life is here for us or how American women are. It might be a reality show, but it is certainly not reality. Not for the majority of American women.

i would say my life is good, no i dont get the concept that people think i have it easy,,, yes at times i have felt prejudice from non-white women,,,,,at same time i have had some great relationships with non-white women,,, i dont have problems accepting my successes,,,,, i would say, being 52, i have gone threw and seen many changes, i was born in the south in the 50's before segregation, grew up during the times when women's rights and equality, both in the home and the workplace, were being fought for and society still didnt accept equality (not deep down anyway) , so i guess i would say today, i really dont have any problems /issues that are directly related to the fact i am a white woman living in the USA,,,, not saying i dont have issues, just the ones i have cross gender and race lines

I am finding that I'm having a hard time BECAUSE I am A White Woman . It's
like reverse discrimination or something . The odd thing is that I have never seen any reason to look at any one differently in my life .

I'm 51, a college graduate, & I've always had to be twice as good to get half the recognition. I did earn the respect of most of the men. The resentment of the others. ......When I eventually went through a bad time I learned who my friends were & who really respected me.

I think these are very good questions. Not all white women have it easy, but most minority women feel like that they two strikes one for being a woman and one for being non white as for white women only have one. Hopefully one day this will change.

I'm Hispanic, but I can pass for white because I don't have an accent.
People that assume that I am white think that smart and educated, but if I tell people my ethnicity they suddenly think I am stupid, slutty, illegal, and that I would like to clean their houses/cars.
So, I can tell you that white girls have it way easier because when people think I'm white it's like a whole other world.
