Tell her she's ridiculous and that she is the reason that stores end up raising their prices.

You probably can't, it sounds like she needs help! Don't get involved, or go along when she does this! You can be charged as well if she gets caught! You don't say your age, but if she's younger than 18, tell your parents and get their opinion on the next step you should take. Shoplifting and stealing like your friend does only makes the prices honest shoppers have to pay increase to make up for shrinkage. Stealing can actually be a disease that can be treated with the proper counseling! Good luck!

your question caught my attention b/c i used to be in the same lifestyle that your friend is. if she is a true friend to you and you want to help her b/c you are concerned go to the store with her, let her switch the tags and when she goes to the register and starts to throw a fit u should turn her in.. she might be mad at you but it's for her own good...trust me i spent 2 years in prison for simple theft b/c my friend cared enuf for me that he gave me up...now im a better person and we are still best of friends...

Turn her in. Sometimes it's the only thing that can help someone like that. Getting caught sometimes will scare them straight so to speak. Good luck.

you warn her once, you warn her twice and then you report her.
If you are not able to report her - then you tell her you will no longer go shopping with her. This doesn't mean you will not be her friend, it will send her a message though.
If she tries to tell you that if you report her or if you stop shopping with her that you are not her friend, then she is right, she is no friend of yours.
Trust me

report her. You will only be doing her a favor, otherwise, she will develop this habit and who knows where she may end up. Jail, dead?
