Had the SAME thing happen to mine and my bosses trucks. It was the fuel pump. Definitely do the fuel filter first, 'cause you'll have to anyway. The fuel pump is in the gas tank and it's hard to replace unless you remove the bed; well it's hard to replace either way. It's also not a cheap part, compared to the filter... before you go do any of that, have it scanned for free at your local DIY parts store. Just for fun, check the tension on your throttle cable while your at it.

I would start by taking it to somewhere that can scan for trouble codes. Then replace fuel filter, clean throttle body and check the fuel pump. Check the air filter and idle air control valve too.

I agree with Dodge Man but it could be the Idle Air Control too. Forget about the automatic choke, it doesn't have one!

i own a repair shop, and it sounds like you have a clogged up fuel filter on it ,this will make it run like that, and also a bad fuel pump will cause it,but id try the filter first its a lot cheaper fix to do than the pump is,also look and see if the air filter is good and clean on it ,a dirty air filter will make one run like that ,sometimes its the simple things that cause the most problems,,good luck,i hope this help,s.

Here's a simple one - maybe your automatic choke is screwed up. Or yout timing...I agree with the guy above. Go get a free check. Too many variables, especially with new vehicles (God, I love my old '69 GMC!)

Unplug the turn on the take carry of, and run a jumper cord between the contacts. attempt to start the vehicle. If it starts off, replace the swap. If it nevertheless won't initiate, you may ought to swap the starter. likely the swap has long gone undesirable!
