i think once you beat a team once in a season you shouldn't have to beat them again to prove that your better. OH IO
I say thumbs down for a re-match too. If there is one Ohio State will win again and I don't think that Michigan wants to be embarrassed again this season.

Michigan has earned the No.2 spot on the BCS rankings and if Ohio State is as good they should be able to beat Michigan for a second time. The way college football works is No.1 will play the No.2 for the national championship at the end of the year to determine who the best team is, no questions asked.

This is the madness of college football. As it stands right now, Michigan is considered by many as the #2 team in the nation, and very deserving of a rematch. However, the world has already seen the Buckeyes beat the Wolverines, and it would not be very fair to USC if Michigan gets the rematch. However, USC's one loss was to an Oregon St. team that absolutely no one is talking about outside of the state of Oregon, while Michigan's one loss came to the #1 team in the country by three points, so it would not be very fair to Michigan if USC gets the shot. Either way, people in SoCal or people in Ann Arbor are going to be very upset.
Personally, I think college football would be much better off as far as ratings go if Michigan played Ohio St. Just imagine how much hype this game would get when you have the best rivalry in college football (if not all of sports) playing for the national championship!

Troy Smith had an absolutely perfect day against Michigan, however he played far better than he is normally capable of playing. Don't look for a repeat performance. I'm an LSU fan and I believe if Arkansas can beat LSU tomorrow and then beat Florida in the SEC championship game the Razorbacks should be the team to play Ohio State and if this does happen I will pick Ohio State as the UNDERDOGS.

Last Saturdays Ohio State vs. Michigan was not a championship game, it was a regular season game between the two rivals, who happened to be #1 & #2. It seems to me that the #1 & #2 teams should face eachother in a championship game.
As an Ohioan who loves the Buckeyes, I would much rather play the #3 or #4 teams, they'd be an easier win, but that team up north is #2 and deserves to be there. Would it be fair to #2 if #3 or #4 played #1 for the championship?, that would be so wrong to #2.

I think that Ohio State should have to go against Michigan because that is what a true champion is. To be the best is to beat the best. If they have a rematch in the bowl game than I guess Ohio State has their hands full. If they have a problem with going against them than that means they are not true champions and they are cowards. So it should be Ohio State vs. Michigan.
I would also like to see Notre Dame go against Michigan or Ohio State also. Ohio State would be true champions if they beat thier rival again.

Um yeah... the state followers are dreaming in lala land in the adventure that they imagine msu will beat michigan. Michigan is having an impressive season so a techniques and that i believe they're going to save it going. Msu hasn't spoiled michigan yet, and it wont substitute each and every time quickly. As for osu, i sensible wish so yet maximum in all probability no longer- yet i will the michigan vs.osu sport and the michigan state sport. bypass BLUE!!!! screw eco-friendly and ohio.

there should definately be a rematch.....the #1 and #2 teams before the championship is a shitty idea, if that happens they should tweak the schedules. plus the game was a good one with ohio winning by 3, you cant ask for a better championship game
