DO NOT BATHE A GUINEA PIG!! A guinea pig is naturally clean themselves, and bathing them will cause stress to their bodies! If you must bathe a guinea pig, go to a pet store and look for shampoo specialized for small animals or rodents. A better choice is to use dry shampoo specialized for small animals or rodents. What you do is put the dry shampoo on the guinea pig (it's basically powder) and brush it out. It will leave the guinea pig clean and odor-free!

I usually give mine baths every few months or when they just plain stink. Here's my routine(and yes, its okay to bathe them, especially long haired breeds!): I let the water in the sink run to a luke-warm tempature. I will sit my pig in the sink with the drain open, and full up the cup and get her pretty wet. Then, take some baby shampoo or small animal shampoo and gently massage it into the animals fur.Usually about a nickel or even quarter size amount will do for the whole critter. After shes lathered, repeat the cup routine until the water pretty much runs clear of bubbles. After this, towel dry the animal gently. I usually put a towel on the toilet seat and set the pig down, then I always blow dry her on a medium or low heat with a medium or low speed. Make sure the animal is more or less completely dry. Guinea pigs are not very hardy animals and can easily get sick from being wet and cold. Once shes clean, I usually comb her fur just for kicks and youre all done!!!!

We bathe our two guinea pigs. I guess our piggies just like to play hard. What I do is bring their entire cage into the bathroom. I let them run around a bit and run about an inch and a half of water in the tub. I catch them and put them both in the tub at the same time. I use kitten shampoo, but I'm sure there's something better sold at the pet store. I'll soap one up, usually just the body not the head because I don't want to risk getting soap in their eyes. Then I rinse them off with my hands. Then I move on to the other one. I get them out one at a time if I'm by myself, or I'll hold one in a towel and my husband will hold the other, and dry them. Never use a blow drier. We towel dry them and then let them run around the bathroom until they are completely dry (it's warm in our bathroom). If you do have to bathe your piggies (not everyone does) make sure they're completely dry and that there is not a draft because they could catch a cold.

DO NOT BATHE A GUINEA PIG. They are susceptible to getting chills and can die. They clean them self quite well. If they is something on your pig that they are not able to clean off themself use a damp face cloth with only water to wash it off never completely soak them.

YOU CAN BATH THEM!!!!!
all you need to do is use baby soap or special guinea pig soap.
use warm water but not to hot
you need to blow dry slightly (make sure they dont get to hot!)
them place them back in their cage.
simple.
MAKE SURE NO WATER GETS IN THEIR NOSE EYES OR EARS (in other words dont get water or soap near their face)
hope that helps!
