At the presently offered broadband speeds, both are equally good.

Local Area Connection works better, in terms of connectivity and stability.

Get a LAN card to start your local area connection now ;)

Hi... Though, USB 2.0 Connection has a 480mbps while LAN Connection has only a 100mbps, you still have to consider things in what way you're going to use it...

if you're using a USB Ethernet Adapter, if in your case does not have a LAN Card or LAN Connection in your PC (only a USB port and no available PCI slot)... its better to have a USB Ethernet Adapter.... endpoint it will still 10/100 mbps connection...

But if you still have available PCI Slot... its better to have a LAN Card...

try looking at this site...

USB is 12 mbps, USB 2 is 480 mbps, and ethernet (also called Fast Ethernet) is 100 mbps. Ethernet is really easy to connect, whereas you would have to install usb drivers for a usb connection to work.

I'm not aware of any modems that use USB 2, so I would say ethernet would be faster.
