In some European countries, like Holland and Italy, pornographic films can be shown on broadcast TV in prime time. Those countries have a much more realistic attitude about sex, and have less rape, less STD's and less teen pregnancy. Should we follow their lead, and put porno on broadcast TV in prime time?

Our country is the complete opposite of Europe. We are very anti "too much" sexual activity on television, and everyone throws a fit when they feel somthing is too sexual. Instead, we think it's okay to showcase a lot of violence and violent video games that small children see. We have it all wrong. There is nothing wrong with showing love on television, it all has to be done in a correct manner.

It will never work here. We have too many people who are against it. Groups like the Southern Christian Baptist or what ever they call themselves( the group who got angry because Disneyland and World have Gay and Lesbian days) would have a witch hunt. I think if it was to happen here they need to put it on a pay-per-view channel like they already do and allow people to choose if they want to watch it or not. I have no problem with porn if it's well made. However I don't subject my 10-year- old daughter to it.

"less rape, less STD's and less teen pregnancy"

I think European society has other factors imbedded in itself other than porno in prime time that cause the above.

Keep in mind, christianity has much more influence on the US and it's people, so what's perfectly normal in Europe is still dirty, wrong, and dangerous and bunch of harmful things drummed up by the christian propaganda machine. And we should follow Europe's lead, in more ways than one.

Well of course there is going to be less rape and less STD's and less teen pregnancy, because everyone is at home masturbating.

Carpal tunnel, sucks.

That's retarded. They do not have realistic attitude, they have lost their religion, rarely marry, I worked there and they have lots of rapes, STD's and are more likely to end teen pregnancy with abortion. Porn at primetime has nothing to do with anything except poor expectations on what quality of life is; when a society decides to expose children to the negative side of life; it is a piss poor statement. Why would we want to jump on that bandwagon?

No we should not follow such a lead

All that promotes is a loose society by which nothing in their eyes is really seen as wrong . If such behaviour is put on prime time then it would only put in the minds of future generetions that such behaviour is natural and acceptable thus promoting it rather then putting a stop to it

It does not matter when we allow adult material on television. If we offer adult material kids will be able to see it if we as adults don't prevent them from doing so. And. if we as adults do censor what children watch then what does it matter?

not in prime time, but perhaps after midnight... with plenty of warnings... perhaps start out with softcore to test it out...
