which is better. i have to say bass only because i play bass and love every minute of it.

they both have their merits. bass and guitar are so important to a musical sound in a group setting.

Bass is good, but it has a plain sound to it, and plus you could do
more with just a guitar. I mean, I love both, I play both, but I mean, If you play, and love bass, you would love guitar too..

Well, I'd have to say guitar! guitar is more of a challenge then bass, but, you wouldn't like it if you weren't up for a challenge! I'm a female guitar player of 2 years! If you were goin with guitar i'd tell you to start with achoustic because it strengthens your fingers and it makes you work harder than an electric!

I love them both and own both. There are different but both are so much fun to play. I played guitar for years but after being mesmerized by player's like Geddy Lee and Chris Squire, I bought a bass and was hooked.

I say guitar..
Because i know bass it totally Rad!!
But in guitar you get to do cool solos..
unless if you don't wanna be in the limelight..
Just enjoy every minute of playing whatever instrument..
The important thing is that you're having FUN!!
