An irregular period can occur for all kinds of reasons, but stress is one of the biggest factors. I'm not a doctor, but it seems to me that hormones could be affecting both your period, and your acne.
Please continue with the medication that your dermatologist is prescribing. {I had rosecea some years ago -- one of the things my dermatologist recommended was washing my face twice a day with Dove soap, because of the pH, and the moisturizers. Since I was also using some medicated lotion on my face at the time, I can't say for sure that all of the results were from the soap, but it did seem to help. Maybe it would help in your case as well}.

Birth control pills do help to put your body on a more regular schedule. There are different dosages; please just ask your doctor.

Birth Control pills regulate it and will also reduce cramping, I've only known one person that it made them worse. They don't really help with acne though. They can shorten the amount of days you bleed but do not lessen the number of periods.

Irregular periods need to be checked out. Have a blood test drawn to check out your hormone levels.
Jaz is one of the new hormone pills that you have a cycle every 3 months or so. Check with your Dr to see if they are good for you.

the only pill that will make you regular is birth control. how old are you? it takes some woman years before their period is regular. other than inconvenience there is no real reason it is bad. you should go to a gynecologist if you are nervous, they will help you learn how to track your cycle. good luck, but you sound completely normal.

go to ur doctor and she will tell u what to do. they call irregular periods irregular for a reason...there not normally. so that does mean something bad, but it could be as easy as taking a little pill for a while or it could be serious.. i dunno. but go see a doctor!!!
good luck!! :)
