I have currently read several history books and can't begin to express my sorrow for the atrocities committed against the indigenous people of this continent. Sadly people don't even care about what is going on now much less learning true history.

It goes something like this the pilgrims were going through their first winter in the new land and they were still a little green around the gills and how to do things, so most of them were starving and many did die. Some Indians I believe it was the Abnaki that took pity on them and taught them all they needed to know. After that they had a good harvest and invited the Indians to join them.
