The best times would be in the morning for breakfast and then again at night before bed. This will keep her stomach full throughout the night and allow her to sleep better.

Against some advice from books and what-not, I started giving my twins rice, porridge, banana custard Mashed pumpkin n Potato mixed together etc when they were 8 weeks old.
Not all through the day but maybe once or twice they'd have a few tiny teaspoons. About 10am and once before their bath and evening bottle. Didn't do them any harm but everyone chooses to do things differently.
Let her taste what you're eating no matter what time of day it is, and as long as it's not curry's n chilli etc!!!!!!!!!
They enjoy sucking really small piece of bread or squashed up banana were my two's favourite.
You'll know what's best for your bub.

What time of day would you eat rice? Babies aren't brittle just because there are so many Help books out there. We all grew up eating from our parents and grandparents plates. Your baby will let you know when he's hungry. Just don't over do it on the solids at first. Let there tummies adjust slowly. And no salt!

I learnt very quickly not to offer any food if my little girl was tired as she was a bit cranky and would close her mouth and refuse to eat. So make sure your little girl is happy and not tired and it will be a lot more successful. I would start giving rice mid morning just after her morning sleep.
Good luck

I fed my son rice cereal in the mornings for breakfast and again at night before bedtime. He liked his with a little apple juice or banana in it.
