You didn't state but what internet browser are you running? If it's Internet Explorer, enable your pop up blocker.

Dump Internet Explorer and use Firefox or Opera. Firefox addblock addon adds additional protection to Firefox great pop up blocking.

install pop up blocker ..if you are an att yahoo customer then you can get it for free.. you can visit.. software.yahoo.com .. or you can have it set on ie, open ie - click on tools - internet options - privacy - check the box that says "block pop- ups" ...
call tech support of your internet service provider

Get Firefox with the AdBlock extension. You can also get rid of most non-popup ads with it too.
