Yes. I'm kinda careful about what I listen to most of the time because it does have such an influence on my emotions. I have to stay away from music that is too melancholy or too agitating - unless, of course, I have the time to give those emotions the attention they demand.

All of it does. I took a couple of courses in University many years ago that addressed the effects of different types of music and how it could be used as a mood altering medium.
As I said, that was many years ago, and there has been a bit of scientific research in mapping the brain activity resulting from different forms of Music.

Yeah, I have an Alice in Chains live acoustic album and I can only listen to about half the songs at a time because I get too depressed. It's an awesome album though. And "Come Out and Play" makes me REALLY hyperactive.

i believe music is an art form and like any art evokes emotion, music can change how you feel in a split second and can be used to motivate and inspire you. Sad music can make you cry, soft music can help you relax, club music can give you energy and other music can pepetuate feelings of hate and indiffernece. music is a powerful medium that fuels the hearts of many

Rap music makes me depressed, rock music makes me happy, and soft rock makes me lonely. I don't know of any genre of music that makes me horny.

Yes, too much Joni Mitchell made me want to jump out of my sister's car at 60 mph. Rap music gets to me because I only have half of my hearing and I can't understand what they are saying. Bad Karaoke singers make me smoke more. Johnny Tillotson songs make me happy

I think I listen BECAUSE of my mood, or should I say, in response to my mood.
Only time i listen to music to effect my mood is first thing in the morning. i listen to spiritual music to get myself thinking about God to start the day.
