You CAN take a hot bath. You just don't want it to be so hot that it raises your body temperature. So as long as the water temp is 98.6 or below, you should be fine.

I haven't heard that. I know you shouldn't take baths like during the third trimester, close to labor, cause of the risk of infection to the baby after you lose your mucus plug or your water breaks. I take showers anyhow cause its hard enough to get in and out of the bathtub now that I am 31 weeks.

i've never been told this was bad...i was actually told to take a hot bath b/c it will help relax me.
