ill like to know because im going o buy one guitar..but i dont know which guitar is best..

Ibanez is infinitely better. They can be a bit more expensive, depending upon the model, though. I had an epiphone and it was my least favorite guitar. I have multiple ibanez because they were so amazing.

If you are only going to buy one guitar, I would actually suggest neither. Get a top of the line one, like a Gibson Les Paul or a Fender HSS Stratocaster. These guitars will give you better quality pickups that will give you a wider range of sounds.
In fact, Epiphone is just Gibson's budget line.

Epiphone and Ibanez are comparable quality. If you dig the weird body shapes then Ibanez is the way to go, if you prefer the more classic lines then it is Epiphone.
If I HAD to choose between the two I'd probably go with Epiphone because of a very marginal uptick in build quality.

Ibanez is for metal.
Epiphone is for classic rock.
I would definetly take the Ibanez, but if you're going towards just regular rock, the epiphone is the way to go.
Of course, I chose neither and went and got a Carvin, Schecter, and Fender :)

spend some time inside a guitar center store. they have many people there to talk to, and guitars aplenty to help you decide on which is best to buy.
