people are always running dickie vitale down and calling him dukie vitale this man is a former coach and knows more about the game than most of his critics and has more knowledge of people in the sport than anyone how can anyone say he cheers for duke i have watched him and he does call it right down the middle when duke plays if the other team does good he says it if duke plays bad he says it hes a good guy leave him alone hes just passionate about his job

I agree. I like Dickie V. He has alot of enthusiasm for the game and is very knowledgeable. I also think he calls the game the way it is. I think he just has alot of respect for the Duke program and Coach K. Vitale is a class act.

I do not like Duke so sometimes it does seem that he goes overboard with them, but actually I believe he just knows good basketball when he sees it. Duke has been good for so long, how could he not have a lot to say about them. He has also had quite a bit to say about UConn in recent years. Back when Rick Pitino was at UK, he was on their bandwagon for a while. Does this mean he liked them best? No, it means he saw good basketball being played and commented on it. Though his loud style is not my favorite, the man is smart and really good for the game. I would rather have an over enthusiastic, commentater, than a boring one with no passion for the game. Thanks

Your right, he HAD a certificate to be a coach so he knows best. He had more time in being a coach than any of you who even held a ball.
