Perhaps you could channel the desperation you are feeling right now into your paper. Your desperation mirrors the characters to an extent... your desire to achieve security against mounting odds. You are also finding yourself having to "count on the kindness of strangers"... just like Blanche DuBois.

I would recommend watching both the movies, and looking for parallels. In A Streetcar Named Desire, Blanche DuBois is desperate because her house has been mortgaged and lost and she is faced with the prospect of living far below her station. In Night Of The Iguana, the character played by Richard Burton is desperate because he too has lost his station in life... namely, he's a defrocked priest. Both characters have lost that defining center of their identities... hence their desperation.

Just from looking at your question, I could see two types of desperation. One is the desperate need to survive in "..Night of the Iguana..", and the other is desperate for self-gratification from "Streetcar...". Write your paper focusing on those two different definitions, give examples and where it really defines 'desperations' and you'll do fine; I promise. Good luck!

Tennessee Williams is an amazing writer... you have to look at each character and at his or her situation... in every play a character shows signs of despiration.... you just have to look for them

Are you sure that you are not supposed to do this essay on Williams' plays(as in his original text) and not bad film adaptations of his work? Or, at the least, perhaps compare the texts to the films?

think of of something you're particularly obsessed with, no count if a political stance, a "precise to life" stance, or perhaps the death penalty. something meaning something to you, which you additionally can prepare the different edge of your opinion. (destiny english instructor right here)
