Hi. I'm wanting to know how to edit an account on my computer.

I know how to set up the account, but I want to remove all those extra programs so that all that user can do is the basics.

I want no problems occuring, incase they accidently run the program.

Does anyone know the best way to do this? Thanks.

Also, could you advise what I should do about my IE browser that's acting buggy?

Thanks.

I assume you are using XP?

If so, you will need to have admin rights.

With admin rights open the Control Panel and click on User Accounts.

Find the Account you wish to edit and change this account to a Limited Account. Then the person with this account will not be able to install programs or start/stop services. They will be able to use any program in the start menu though.

If you are having issues with IE you might try to upgrade depending on your version, or you can use FireFox. www.tryfirefox.com, I think that's the URL.

hope that helps
Ron

for a customary person account, you desire an administrator password for issues that impact different customers (consisting of setting up courses or deleting someone bills). in case you be attentive to the admin. password, you have finished get entry to on your pc. so which you will no longer fairly make a "limited" person account.
