A full power of attorney grants your agent (the attorney-in-fact) the right to anything you can legally do. A limited power of attorney grants your agent the right to do only the acts specified. Normally a power of attorney is in effect only for so long as the principal is capable of granting a power of attorney. A durable power of attorney remains in effect even after the principal is incapacitated. A common durable power of attorney is a durable power of attorney for health care that gives direction in the event that someone no longer has their mental capacity.

I'm unfamiliar with the term "full p.o.a," unless it refers to an "unlimited" p. o. a, which means the attorney in fact has power to take any and all legal actions the principal can.

Common Law p. o. a.'s are automatically revoked if the principal becomes incompetent. Durable p.o.a.'s are created by statute and the major difference is that they are not automatically revoked on incompetence. Most statutes creating them also have some limitations as to who may be the attorney (usually family members) and often limitations on the powers that may be exercised & they specify how they are revoked.

powers of attorny can be limited, to a specific event, to a specific duty.

They can be limited in time, certain dates, expire and so on.

They can be the same, or they not be the same, the actual wording, duties and restrictions will make the real difference.
