A tough attitude is workable, but a jailhouse attitude is hard to live with. I used to work with about 50+ ex-cons, and the guys who made it on the outside were the ones who could separate the two. If you have pride in yourself, a strong work ethic, and don't use your past as an excuse for your present & future, that will get you all the respect you need from women, and anyone else.

Good Luck

I don't care for that particular mode of living. It takes more courage and "toughness" to be yourself than it does to live your life putting on an act. I can understand the need to behave that way in a prison situation, but it has no place in the general population.

It's not so much that they respect it, bro: but alot of them are simply turned on by it. You're probably going to hear alot of women deny it, but they ALL love a bad boy. Oh, they might not end up marrying one, since they usually cop out an opt for security and boredom. But you can bet that in their dating days it was the Bad Boys that made 'em wet. So hold on to your 'tude--you'll see what I mean. As far as mild-mannered guys? Meek means weak, and weak doesn't get a peek!
