I'm 26 y/o, no kids (in case this helps) Should I consult my doctor? When I first got it (almost 2 wks ago), it was kinda brownish and very light (like when your period is ending). But now it's red, pretty heavy and thick (I know nasty huh).

Don't worry, it's not nasty to describe it. I would definitely get to a doctor the next time his/her office is open. This may be an exceptionally heavy period, but I've not heard of a period that lasts two weeks. Unless you've had a gynecological surgical procedure, then you shouldn't be having that long a period anyways. Good luck!

I would contact my doctor about this if it has not stopped by Monday. Are you on any birth control to help regulate? If not, this may be your answer so that you don't have to go through this again. A normal period should only be 5-7 days long.

um... i have had periods that lasted about 8 or 9 days but never that long but i know some people who have long periods but, if you have never had one that long before there could be something wrong, it could be if you eat alot of thick sweets like chocolates or stuff like that. but u definately should see a doctor.

It's not that uncommon to be on your period that long for some women but it's also not normal so you should go to your doctor to see why.

Yes. Contact your doctor. That's not normal. The sooner the better.
