When Jesus was asked what is the greatest commandment, His reply was to love God with all our hearts and the second like it, to love one another.
God is love, He created us in His image, so we come into this world wired with the ability to give and receive love.
True, this becomes short-circuited in some people for one reason or another and they loose the ability to give love and are afraid to receive love; perhaps they have been hurt badly by another person.
The thing we have to remember is not to judge everyone by one persons actions.
Real love does exist but it comes in many forms; parents, siblings, friends or a significant other.
To be born to love but not to be loved in return? Because of what I've stated, I don't believe this to be the case in all situations.
Hope this helps.

Real love is hard to explain, but yes it does indeed exist. I personally don't think it is possible to be born to love but not be loved in return. Every human and breathing being on the earth needs to be loved. But we all have different ways of showing it and giving it.
Real love is intense and kind and thoughful. You can tell real true love because actions speak louder than words.

I was born to love, but it has only seemed to turn people away. I don't know that I've ever been loved. Real love exists in my mind, but I've never experienced it.

Real love does exist, even between friends. I'm female, with a male best friend, and we love each other very much. There is nothing sexual between us. We have respect, trust, and care for each other.

Real love is giving up oneself for your beloved. Love reciprocates love. We are all born to be loved so as soon as we are born our parents were already there to give us unconditional love. But very important is we must first love ourselves before we can love other.
