When smokers throw their cigarettes out the windows they smolder for a while and cause wildfires. The responsible party is miles away and don't even connect their action with the fire.

2) Smokers why don't all of use the ash trays?

The hard part with having it be a felony is that it would be very hard to prove who through the cigarette and that that cigarette caused the fire. I do believe that it should be a felony if there is definitive evidence that they through the cigarette.

Whoa now hold on. Not all smokers are inconsiderate. I'm a smoker & I do NOT throw anything out the window of my car. In fact, I don't smoke in my car. Neither do I smoke where it might *remotely* cause offense to some sensitive person. I generally only smoke at home & in the smoking break room at work. Anywhere else, I tend to refrain.

Let's not generalize & dump everyone into a preconceived notion. Thank you & happy Thanksgiving to you.

It is criminal offense 2 throw a let cig out the window of a moving car. They just don't want 2 waste time looking 4 pp who commet that crime. They can find out through dna who throw it but they need more then that. They need the car the person and the persons who saw it. they have a lot working against them.

Yes. It is a serious crime, primarily because of the potentially consequences.

Smoking at the gas pump while filling your tank should be a felony, too. In fact, I think it is in most states.

cause smokers have no consideration what so ever... and they deserve to be taxed out the *** for smokers... for that reason and even everywhere else who wants a flamming piece of papper comming flying at them... and second hand smoke is much more worse for you than the person smoking
