No I think that behaviour is pathetic and doesn't teach the child anything except "ask and I will provide" mentality. Yes I agree that some kids behave in a spoilt way and I've heard a group of nasty little girls commenting amongst themselves in Target one day about wanting better clothes than "Target" clothes. What the...........? Target has good quality clothes and these little 8 yr olds must have heard it from their mothers. Whilst I try to grant my kids christmas wishes I wouldn't behave in such a way and when you have 4 to buy for, the money is spent a bit more sparingly. My kids have all they need and more. Thanks for that question, it was good.

No I am NOT one of those parents. There was a clip on the news last night of someone who had been(I think stabbed) over the new PS3. I have never been or ever will be the type of parent that will fight over a toy in a store. Unless they ripped it out of my hand or stole it out of my cart....but even then I would probably just yell and cry and let them have it. Not worth dying over now is it?!!

I will do all that I can but I will not beat up someone, steal, or pay an outrageous amount. We can't always get everything we want and kids need to learn that too. I have told mine that it didnt work out for that particular toy and got them something else. If they were still interested in it then I would try to get if for a birthday present. I agree with you .....

Depends on the circumstances. If I get there first, and have it in my hands, and someone gets in my face, well, I will certainly defend myself... it has nothing to do with the toy, I just don't appreciate people getting in my face. If I see someone else get what I wanted, and it was the last one... Aww, stink.. Oh, well... next store, or look for a different gift idea.

No, I'm not that kind of parent, on either count. Only one of my children acts like she must have specific brands of things, thankfully. She still accepts what she is given though. I never went in on Black Friday before so I haven't seen this stuff up close yet. It's scary to think of, coz you don't know what they might be willing to do if you see someone punch someone else on t.v.; would they pepper spray someone or worse too?

No. It's easier if you find a child who has the toy and beat him up for it.
Just kidding, I do think you are right about the nasty spoiled kids.

Nope! If I am going to fight for something it would be for our freedom not a toy! I think that would be a bad example for your kid,s .They need to learn that they can not get ever thing they want to prepare them for like.

My children are grown, but I never fought over any toy. My kids did not get everything they wanted and learned early not to expect it.

Haha... nope, I refuse to fight another person unless if in self defense for my self or something else. I think it's silly for a parent to do that and teaches the kids horrible things.
