That's a good question and the only thing I can think of is Procrastination... and it must be a mental disorder or people just didn't have time to go prior to the holiday, maybe a little bit of both.

I can't answer for anyone else. Personally speaking, I hate grocery shopping, especially for holidays. I really don't enjoy shopping anyway.

I know.Today Is Thanksgiving.And my mom,and aunt wen't Thanksgiving shopping YESTERDAY.I'm like "WE SHOULD HAVE WEN'T LAST WEEKEND,INSTEAD OF THE DAY BEFORE THANKSGING".You know,now,like,my mom might go Chritmas shopping the day before Christmas.LOL.My mom goes Christmas shopping like a month before Christmas,ya know.LOL.

Because they know the stores are open on holidays now, so why plan ahead? I think it's retarded. My store didn't make enough money today to justify being open.

Isn't it deplorable ? I needed one lousy onion, took me twenty minutes to get out of the store .My excuse is that i am a little bit stupid.
