I know some women who have had full time jobs, but still had to come home and do ALL the housework, ALL the cooking ALL the child care including homework help, yet must account for every dollar they spend while their husbands go and do what ever they want and spend without any accountability. If you think minimum wage, try life as a "wife"(slave)
Look at the men who are married to famous women now, even the ones with high paying jobs themselves, "K-FED"
is trying to get millions from Brittany.

i think that's one of the biggest reasons marriages are becoming less popular. Seems like an awfully-huge liability for the person with more money to take on. The pre-nup is essential and should actually be part of the standard legal process of marriage. There should always be SOME form of agreement, given that the laws allow for such horrible misjustice.

If I had an honest statutory crack at Donald Trump's fortune, just by filing a few papers and weeping a few crocodile tears, I would.

Hey, when they leave the bank vault open with the gleaming ice in sight, whatcha gonna do?

Alimony was actually for the protection of women when they were not allowed to work, and women still make less then men for the same work.
Also many women have to pay alimony and child support, if they are the ones who leave and lose custody.

Hey - it wasn't *me* doing that when I got divorced. Matter of fact, he made more and I ended up with the bills, he ended up with the stuff. He threatened that I had better not get an attorney. As he was abusive, I didn't.

But, when it comes to a military guy (my ex wasn't) I agree, they need to be protected against the vindictive women.

I didn't do that. My ex and I were on amicable enough terms to split everything equally down the middle. In fact, my ex was giving me first choice in everything. However, don't criticize this so-called syndrome. Every case is different. Every woman's (or man's, for that matter), experience with his/her spouse will have different emotions that will lead to different reactions.

snagelfritz: Like I said: different emotions will lead to different reactions. I'm not comparing my situation with anyone else's. I am merely stating that each one is different.

Oh that is horrible. Whatever happened to their sense of self worth or pride. Money grubbing wenches. Why can't they make their own money, why should they punish a man because he doesnt love them anymore? Yes their should be laws to protect men. Being married to someone who cheated on you and left you doesnt mean you are entitled to half of his money.
EDIT: John sorry I am really not sure what you are talking about, could you explain that a little more.

Laws must be made to protect men from being exploited by greedy women wanting to get their wealth.

Kiss you. Ha! Well, it did happen to me, even what the court said I was to get, she got. But, I just looked at it this way; she needed it more than I did and over time I got more things.
