the most powerful honda engine is a tie between the 3.2L C32 found in the NSX and the 3.5L C35 found in the new RL. while you might assume the 3.5 produces more power, they probably produce roughly the same amount of HP. If you believe the NSX only had 276hp then you're dead wrong. the NSX-R in Japan used the same basic block but they raised the compression and a whole assortment of other engine goodies to give it well over 300hp, yet it has always been rated between 276-290. so that's what i have to say...it's a tie

To begin with, I would like to say that Honda has the most reliable and powerful NA (Naturally Aspirated) engines. The most powerful is the C32B engine from the NSX-R producing 280hp. An older engine but very powerful as well is the one from the older models of the NSX (type-s, type-s zero, type-r and type-n) which is called C30A. It's 200cc smaller than the C32B but it also had 280hp. Both the C32B and the C30A are V6 engines with amazing sound. The third in power Honda engine is the one from the S2000. It's called F20C (the europian and japanese models) or F22C (the american model). The F22C is 200cc bigger than the F20C but they both producing 250hp from the factory!! (Remember that it's a NA engine) The fourth in the row engine is the B16-B18 that can be found in a Honda Civic. It's very powerful and can move the small civic chassis with incredible speeds. Something very remarkable is the fact that the Honda engines can rev up to 10.000rpm!! The sound of the engine when it is about 10.000rpm is astonishing.

The most powerful Honda engine would have to be the 3.0 L naturally aspirated V-8 engine used in IndyCar series racing, although this engine is now retired and will be replaced with a 3.5L V-8 that will run entirely on ethanol. It produces about 750+ HP and has an electronically limited top of 10,300 RPMS.

I don't believe that Honda makes the engines for their new planes (although I may be wrong).

In my knowledge, the most powerful honda engine for cars considering reliability and overall performance is the b18. There have been type r civics in japan running with more than 800 horsepower. I am not sure about this, but I heard there is a special edition type r which had 300- 350 hp.

That would be the one they use in the Pilot and Ridgeline, a 3.5L V-6 that generates 247 hp. Honda doesn't make, and has no immediate plans to make, a V-8 engine.

I don't know the name of it, but probably the ones they put in the Indy cars. Tony Kanaan qualified 1st in 2005 at the Indy 500 at 227.566 mph 4-lap average with a little Honda engine.
