I believe that this would be a bad idea. I don't think we should do anything that would potentially strengthen Iran or Ahmadinejad and his fanatical religious Shiite clergy. The border between this proposed split would make the Korean DMZ look like Disneyland.

The Iraqi people will stand up and fight for their freedoms when they are convinced that our conviction to see this conflict through and stand by them like we have promised is realized. If we pull out before we have completed this mission - the Iraqi people are well aware of the ensuing slaughter that will take place - any doubt as to why they are hesitant to give us their full support can be read daily in the anti-war rhetoric being spewed forth by the U.S. media.

Iraq cannot be divided just to serve the US interests. It must be united as one sovereign nation instead of dividing it.

The people of Iraq are smart enough to do what they feel good enough for their countymen. And they will have peace if we didn't dig our head into that country.

It is not up to us to decide; it's their country. Part of the problem is that the West has meddled too much in the Mideast and for too long. Let them decide for themselves.
