I feel kind of trapped in the twilight.

Do you really want a normal life? Shuffling around IKEA with your partner on a Saturday with your 2.4 kids, bored out of your brain, your life filled with finding the right plates and moving up the ladder and eating in the right places and going to dinner parties with people who are just as bored as you are , who are vacuous and utterly predictable from years of 'fitting in', having the 'right' opinions, drinking the right wine, having the right job, wearing the right clothes. They might as well die now. Their lives follow the same old story. They know broadly everything that will happen to them from now until death and so does everyone else, they're a bunch of chronic dullards.
Do whatever you like with your life, as it is yours and no one elses. Its an amazing gift not to be wasted. Take the path less followed. People will try to make you feel bad, as they will be threatened by your lack of desire to shop in Waitrose and spend your life sighing at spreadsheets. Ignore them.
Life will be hard sometimes but you'll find other people like you. Life has lots of phases and this is just another one. Don't give up.

I guess the question is, what is a normal life? A life is a life. It's got struggles, tragedies, happiness, disappointments, successes, failures etc. What's normal to you may be different to someone else's and some people's "normal" may even scare you.

I think everyone feels crazy, sad, lonely at times in their life. That's NORMAL to be human. The trouble comes when when those feelings prolong and take over our lives. Give yourself a break. And accept that you are not alone in feeling "crazy" or sad. Those feelings are ususally a symptom of something that is happening with you and your life that needs to be looked at and hopefully resolved.

take care

WHO WANTS A NORMAL LIFE??? Lets face it, you are different, really we all are! I'm getting really sick of people thinking they should live a normal boring life just to fit in. It's ridiculous, why live if you can't have fun with your life and be a little crazy sometimes? Embrace the fact that you are different, do silly things like you did when you were a kid once in a while. People are tired of this boring life that we created. You will notice that when you let your true, fun, childlike self out once in a while, others will be drawn towards it because they miss that too. Embrace it, have fun with it, and pass it along, the world will be a much happier place.

When you feel trapped, write your way out. Keeping a journal has done more for me over the past 30 years (of dealing with bipolar depression) than any meds have. I had one 10 day visit to a hospital. I do not recommend it unless you are in a psychotic state. It damaged me further rather than helping me. I do recommend writing. It's ok if it feels awkward. Write about that! It has helped me to deal with the blues AND the mean reds.

Oh yeah. Always been functional but also always have had difficulties. Since I did not get in trouble I never got attention. Now I have figured out my history and reasons but decades too late to really have a normal life.
