Unfortunately, Bush, Rumsfeld, and Rice have so mismanaged the use of our forces and our efforts at diplomacy around the world (or lack thereof) that, even if he does not publicly advocate for a draft, if we were to go to war with Iran and/or North Korea, they would have to institute a draft in order to conduct war on two more fronts.

Also, the reason Charlie Rangle has been advocating for a draft has nothing to do with a desire for war, etc...he is simply pointing out the extreme disparities between the number of young poor people who are dying in Iraq as compared to kids of the affluent.

I don't believe Bush would enable the draft and I don't think we would need it to take care of North Korea and Iran.

Firstly, the draft ain't gonna happen. What the military needs these days is intelligent people whom it can hire and retain to use and maintain today's complex weapons systems, and draftees in for a year or two are not going to be useful for that. Secondly, it may become necessary or appropriate to used armed force against Iran or DPRK, and I expect to support such action in that case.

Are you serious? Would anyone support this? It would be a war that NO one would support. And, yeah, ONE democrate supported the draft. How many damn republicans have been in the news about sex scandels or shooting a guy, or vetoing a bill on stem cell research? The republicans are quick to advert the eyes of the public back on the "issues" they think we are facing.

Lets get this straight right now, the draft is not an initiative supported by President Bush. The draft is being pushed by one damn democrat who has no clue about anything. So I would appreciate you not using Draft and the President in the same sentence.

Eh.... It's Charley Wrangle, a *Democrat* that is trying to get the draft. WW-III is already in progress, North Korea probably won't be a direct combatant, though Iran might some day be.

World War 3 must be prevented by just resorting first to amicable settlements of disputes.

NONONO,

Countries like North Korea will do anything if they lose the game. It has nu-cu-lar weapon and Bush doesn't like it. We gotta have peace talk not war. I don't want to be living in the next hiroshima.
