To the person who said dreams have no relevance - you are really wrong. God warned Joseph in a dream that Herod was trying to kill baby Jesus. God has spoken to lots of people in dreams throughout history.
Obviously this dream stayed with you, and affected you so, yes, it is worth interpreting it.
Usually if I have a dream I pray and ask God to reveal the meaning to me.
However, Im not sure what your faith is, so I will try for you.
Usually being pregnant represents change, or a new idea in some form. 'Birthing' something new. Perhaps you and your friend are about to enter a stage in your life where something new is about to happen? End of school? Looking for a new job? The fact that your stomach was still flat suggests that this new venture will not go as you expect. Perhaps you are expecting your life to go a certain way - and it will not.
I feel God is telling you that your friend and yourself can expect change, but not in the typical way you expect it.
eg. Maybe you wont get the job/house/school you want, but the one you will infact get will be better-but it may take a bit of time for you to realise that it is still infact a blessing.
