BLAIR WITCH PROJECT. Utter bag of shite. In fact I am getting angry thinking about the wasted two hours of my life.

Hi, there are 2 answers to this from me. Worst cinema experience: Highlander 2. After loving Highlander, I paid good cash to go and be insulted by the worst sequel EVER - nothing to do with the first movie, they had the brilliant follow up idea of pretending that the first movie never happened!!!
But the worst movie of all time (and I mean so bad that there isn't even anything to laugh at, unlike most of the movies listed by other answerers, is - Coal Miner's Daughter, starring Sissy Spacek. I swear to God that I became convinced that the film was running backwards because it was so dull and refused to finish, I could actually feel my brains trickling out of my ears in a vain bid to escape. And she got an OSCAR for this atrocity!
Man, I have to stop, bad flashbacks... Steve.

The Worst film I ever saw was Maniac Cop a 1988 film with the tag line
You have the right to remain silent. Forever.
Such a bad film you couldn't even watch it and laugh because it was so bad. Just complete trash

Even though it cost $20m to make and supposedly "wowed" audiences with its special effects it has to be Disney's The Black Hole - one of the worst SF films ever made with the most ludicrous ending ever. And I actually paid to see it!
Plot Summary from Disney Archives:
The explorer craft U.S.S. Palomino is returning to Earth after a fruitless 18-month search for extra-terrestrial life when the crew comes upon a supposedly lost ship, the magnificent U.S.S. Cygnus, hovering near a black hole. The ship is controlled by Dr. Hans Reinhardt and his monstrous robot companion, Maximillian. But the initial wonderment and awe the Palomino crew feel for the ship and its resistance to the power of the black hole turn to horror as they uncover Reinhardt's plans, which involve turning his former crew into robots and flying through the hole. As they try to escape, a meteorite shower damages the ship, and the survivors hang on as they are plunged into the most powerful force in the universe, heading toward the blinding light that holds whatever eternity awaits them.

Enemy Mine. It is AWFUL!
Also, I tend to dislike the films that have a cult following as they are quite often crap, Trainspotting, Exorcist, Texas Chainsaw massacre (either version they're both crap), Blair Witch Project..... there are so many! Emperors new clothes films, people say they are good cos everyone else does ;o))

It has to be one of those 1950s science fiction B movies. There were so many - they were awful in the extreme but we watched them anyway.
Strange to think that these crap movies now have a cult following - are they aliens? the cult followers?
