I have never tried skiing before and I am not sure if I will like it but I would like to try...so I am not looking to spend lots of money on it but trying to find a decent place where is good for beginner and relatively cheap. (i.e cheap accommodation, lessons and ski hires)Any good suggestions? Thanks a million!

i started skiiing in andorra a few years back but the prices now have gone ridiculous,we went to the states skiing which was good but also expensive,we found that bansko in bulgaria is brill, the skiing is excellent, its cheap enough to get to,food is dirt cheap, and so is the drink, the ski lessons are quite good too,we brought a total beginner with us last year and by the end of the week he was up the mountains skiing,we have a 3 bedroomed penthouse appartment there,if you want let me know if you are interested and we can sort something out,if you want to take a look our appartment is on www.rentinbulgaria.com we are property no 250.enjoy where ever you go

It depends where you live. Small local ski resorts are the best when you just start out. Check their website and look for a beginner package or special deals (usually at night if they offer night skiing). If you live farther away some of the bigger ski resorts offer skiing on a beginner hill for free (you would have to pay for the rental equipment)

Try the Ski Dome in Tamworth, Staffordshire.

You ski on real snow, tuition is available and accommodation is MUCH cheaper than paying an arm and a leg to go abroad to learn you suck at skiing!

Course if you find you DON'T suck at skiing - you can then book your skiing holiday KNOWING that you will enjoy it!

Good luck :o)

I agree with katarina2727 Slovenia is beautifully and good for beginners, the people speak fantastic English, but it's not cheap, your better booking an all inclusive package to Bulgaria or Roumania, the skiing is good and it is cheap

Fly to the southern hemisphere, the place it particularly is wintertime! Australia, New Zealand, Chile...Argentina has super ski lodges, my own conventional being San Martin de los Andes- super powder snow, stable style of slopes and stable get right of entry to, and it extremely is plenty extra low priced than snowboarding in the U. S. or Europe. The coutry part is breathtaking and city suitable and beautiful as nicely. in case you do not carry alongside your guy or woman kit you could hire each little thing from clothing to boots to skis and snowboards. purchase your guy or woman glasses, in spite of the undeniable fact that, rented ones suck... For after snowboarding you will discover stable eating places, from Argentinian pork to community specialties including smoked venisson or boar. appreciate!

Eastern Europe (e.g. Bulgaria) is cheap, and nicer than you probably think it is. If you want to go somewhere that's garunteed to be a nice place to be try Andorra; it's a tax-free country so everything's cheap, and it's high up, so garunteed lots of snow, and usually nice weather too.
