i know it's probably the stupidest question but i don't have one and i would like to get one. do you have to pay in order to get them downloaded, can you download from the cd's you already have? what? please let me know! thx!

You need iTunes first. You can download that at apple.com. Once you have iTunes, it will look for all music on your computer now and import it into iTunes. If you put a music CD in your computer, you will have a choice to show that CD in iTunes. Then you can choose all the songs you see on that CD in iTunes and drag them to your iTunes Music Library. When you have iTunes open and connect your iPod to your computer, iTunes will show your iPod listed. You can then choose to AutoSync your iPod which will automatically reload your music library each time you connect your iPod, so if you have added or deleted songs (including those you ripped from your CDs) they will be loaded onto the iPod or removed if you've deleted them from your Library. Or you can choose to load the songs manually by clicking and dragging individual songs or an entire playlist onto the iPod.

It is not a stupid question, I asked that myself when I got my Ipod mini. You can use the software that is provided to import from your CD's or an alternative is to buy from the store, here is a tip always buy a itunes music card before you buy from the itunes site. Hoped I helped!

First u dowload itunes (dont worry its free) then u can get songs from ur cds or from limewire and put it in ur itunes library and then u put them into ur ipod. u can also buy songs for $.99 on itunes. Hope i helped =)
