My mother's neighbour runs a special care home out of her house and is required to get a flu shot but last year she was sick for 2 weeks. Isn't it enough if all the residents (6) get the shot?

Sometimes the shot makes you sick. If they get the shot and she keeps the place super clean it should be enough.

She's not required by law, but she won't get sick pay for taking time off with the flu. Tell her to look into it.

No, if she's depended on by other people she should get it. It's being improved every year, so theres a good chance she won't get sick this year. I didn't.

I have not heard that laws dictate medications, I have always heard that medication is mostly voluntary.
