No limit, however the power is not what would make it illegal anyways, it is the things of the car to make a crazy amount of HP that would render it illegal. Things like having to use tires that can keep the traction on the street, loudness of the exhaust, and in some states and provinces the type of fuel used. Things like that would make it illegal, not the amount of horsepower or torque.

As much as you can afford.
The most important question here would be "How stupid am I going to be with (X amount) of torque?"
If you drive like a sane (RESPONSIBLE) person then no one should care how much torque your car has.
If you want to act like an idiot... well, I am sure that the police and your neighbors will care enough to let you know and somehow stop you.

its unlimited....there are other things that will make it not street leagal...so leave the catalitic converter and muffler on, any thing with emissions. horsepower is expensive on the high end so its more of a money issue than a "what is allowed" issue

there is no limit once it is in your hands, if you go over 500 improve your brakes and consider a roll cage , have fun, be safe.
