Borat is a fictional character played by a Jewish actor. He is a satirical character whose purpose was to expose the bigoted attitude that still exists in America. Everyone knew while watching the movie that Borat was not a real person, and that Sasha Baron Cohen did not believe what he was saying. The movie was made as Entertainment, and as a Jewish person I thought it was hilarious. The difference between Borat and many posts on Yahoo is that unlike what Borat was saying many who post on Yahoo are doing so to cause hatred and conflict. Big difference. If Borat started to post his stuff letting it be known who henwas and that he was joking he would not be banned. If a real person came onto Yahoo who really had the attitude that Borat does, that would rightfully be seen as offensive and he might be reported. I mean, what would be the point in doing so other than to express hatred and cause offense.

Sacha Baron Cohen is Jewish. Borat is a fictional character from Kazakhstan. He makes fun of everyone.
At a recent press conference in Sydney (where he only accepted previously submitted questions) one journalist tried to inject some humour, and Cohen stood up and said "I tell the jokes."

I think he's jewish. I heard on tv that his fiance is converting to judaism, and that only makes sense if he's jewish. Apparently he's very comfortable with his religion, and he's well aware of the anti-semitic sentiments that are present around the world and he wants to bring that to light. The best way to do it, in his opinion, was to make fun of it.

Yes he is jewish. The movie is a satire. He said the things he said to get a reaction from the other people in the movie. The other people in the movie were not in on the joke.

borat - the guy who plays him - is full out kosher jewish. he eats at kosher delis and what not.
