It is part of grieving. Crying can be a release of all of the emotions that center around the loss of someone. I would say it is an important part of working through the grief for some people. It allows them to move on with their life after having experienced a loss.

Usually they weep because of the loss of a loved one. I know that's why I cry during such times. If you haven't lost anyone yet then be glad, but expect it to happen.
